“I can’t believe my very first American wedding is my own”… I could not believe it when I heard Denise say that on her wedding day.  Of course, I was shocked!!! Rarely do I meet brides who don’t live and breath dreaming of  how their perfect wedding will unfold!  Not that she didn’t dream of her wedding… but she said Chinese traditions are just a bit different that American wedding traditions. Ha!!  When we were putting on her dress, and us photographers make such a big deal of that, Denise said “I can’t believe there’s even a dress ceremony”.  So true.. I’ve never thought of why we make such big deals of certain things.  I guess it’s because it’s all we’ve ever known.  This made Denise and Timothy’s wedding that much more special.  I hope I was able to capture the American wedding she was hoping for!

Some fun details that Denise wore on her wedding day (minus the grooms’ ring of course).

Not only did she have a fabulous white wedding gown, she also wore this incredibly gorgeous red gown for the reception.  When I asked her what this dress was for she said “Oh there’s no way I can do the Ramba at my reception in this big white dress”.  Ha… so true!

Beautiful arrangements at the front of the church.  Denise’s mother traveled all the way from China for her daughter’s big day!   Mama giving her daughter away to the groom! The sun was coming in directly on Denise’s dress during the ceremony!  I’m not a “dark” photographer… but this one turned out pretty cool! Introducing Mr. and Mrs. Caplena!
