I’ve decided it’s time to actually make myself a work schedule. When you work from home it’s REALLY hard to set boundaries between being and “work” and being at “home”. So I’ve decided to only work on certain days of the week. As in… I’m not going to get on my computer and edit, blog, facebook, or twitter about business on the other days! I hope this actually works and I stick to it. Ha! So if you’re wondering what I’m doing Monday, Tuesday or Thursday I’m probably sitting right here at my computer working away on beautiful photos! I’ll leave you with a sweet picture of a family I got to photograph this morning. Do any of you other photogs out there have specific works days??? How’s it going for you?
I do! I have workdays. I work on Tuesday and Thursday because I have someone who comes to watch the kids. We also have no technology days on Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays…so even though I work, I don’t let the kids watch TV or get on the computer on those days, so I don’t look at Facebook or Twitter on those days. I may update, but I do it through Tweetdeck so I can’t look at Facebook! It’s actually quite freeing to not feel obligated to check it every three seconds! AND, I’m starting to read books, which is nice. Any day I work (even if I’m swamped and have to work another day), I don’t work past when Josh gets home. That’s family time. It’s great to have boundaries.
