It isn’t every day you get to experience the amazing miracle of birth.  Yesterday I was honored to photograph my sweet friends’ delivery of her son.  Shannon did great and Little Cruz entered the world at 3:41 on January 4th.  He was 8 lbs 6 oz and 21 inches long.  I’m pretty sure these pictures speak for themselves.

Right when they handed Cruz to Shannon for the first time.  Priceless.

I mean really.. does this not make you want to tear up a bit?

He weighed 8 pounds 6 ounces……and is oh so cute.  Shannon told me that he already looks different from these photos.  He’s not quite a swollen now.  Mom, Daughter, and baby.  So Sweet! The next 2 speak for themselves… Look at that sweet little face.  Almost like he’s posing for the camera!  Partial Family photo (minus Carsyn). Favorite shot! Everyone left the room for a bit (I was kinda hid in the corner) and daddy said a prayer over his first born son.  Starting out Cruz’s life under the grace and protection of Christ! Love this moment between the 3 of them.  So peaceful, so perfect!

Mimi got a couple minutes with Cruz too! Time for BIG SISTER to meet her brother for the first time.  She was a little nervous, but warmed up to her baby brother soon! Not quite sure whats going on yet….She loves him already!

Congratulations Shannon, Drew & Carsyn.  What a blessing little Cruz will be for the rest of his life.
